Visiting Austin and spent the other morning walking on one of the trails at Steiner Ranch. The residents of Steiner Ranch are very fortunate to have a rich network of trails to enjoy.
It was a lovely cold spring morning.
The birdsong was beautiful and varied as I walked the trail.
The central Texas landscape is quite distinctive with large areas of limestone terrace, compact canyons with trickling streams and small but noisy waterfalls; and full of juniper and live oak, red oak, and many native trees and bushes. The wildflowers are always lovely and interesting.
